My Story

I am a lived-experience art therapist whose work is grounded in resilience, truth, and compassion. I have faced significant challenges throughout my life, including holding my childhood abusers accountable through the court system. That journey shaped a lifelong commitment I made to myself: once I had done the work to heal my own backyard, I would devote my life to helping others navigate their emotional landscapes.

I believe that everyone already holds the answers they need within themselves. My role as a therapist is not to fix or direct, but to gently facilitate a safe and supportive space where those inner truths can be explored and expressed. I understand how difficult it can be to find the words when pain feels overwhelming, and through art therapy I support clients to communicate what may feel unspeakable, fostering comfort, connection, and emotional safety.

I am also a proud mother to an Autistic and ADHD son, which has deepened my passion for creating affirming, inclusive spaces for the neurodivergent community. My work is guided by a strong belief that everyone deserves to feel truly seen, heard, and accepted exactly as they are.

My Approach

Sessions are guided by your needs in the moment, not by rigid expectations. Some days we may paint, draw, or work with clay as a way to express what words can’t yet hold. Other days, you might put your feet up on the couch with a cuppa and talk through your day, move around the room, sit quietly while your nervous system settles, or we may go for a gentle stroll while I listen to your thoughts. All of these ways of being are equally meaningful and valid parts of the therapeutic process.

I bring creativity, playfulness, and gentle humour into my work, because growth doesn’t have to feel heavy or overwhelming. If dark humour is part of how you cope, you are welcome to bring that too — I recognise that for many people, humour can be a powerful way to process pain, survive difficult experiences, and feel human again.

Above all, I want you to feel free to be yourself. You are welcome to show up exactly as you are — wear the clothes you don’t always feel accepted in, move, stim, fidget, use humour, speak in the way that feels natural to you, communicate non-verbally if needed, or sit in silence. There is no expectation to perform, explain yourself, or fit into a mould.

My space is one where authenticity is not just allowed, but valued. When people feel safe enough to unmask, regulate their bodies in the ways that work for them, and express themselves honestly, real healing and self-discovery can begin. Together, we create an environment where you are seen, respected, and supported as your whole, genuine self.
